The flora of Russian Far East contains approximately 500 medicinal plants that have been used in traditional and conventional medicines. This paper is focused on plants used in traditional and conventional medicines as adaptogenic, stimulating, geriatric and antidepressant plants.

Illustrated descriptions of three water mite species, Wandesia sokolowi sp. n., Frontipodopsis cuspidata sp. n. and Chappuisides orientalis sp. n. from interstitial waters of the Russian Far East are presented. A new species of the genus Constempellina Brundin, 1947, C. tokunagai sp. n., from the Russian Far East is described and figured as male, pupa and larva.
